Engaging in Entrepreneurship & Engineering @ Waterloo August 2017


Ever wondered what it takes to be an entrepreneur?

Engaging in Entrepreneurship & Engineering (E3) funded by TD is a week-long camp (August 14th-18th, 2017) for high school students entering grades 11-12 who are interested in learning the basics of entrepreneurship. Whether you think of yourself as an ideas-person, business-savvy, developer or designer - this camp is for you!

Engineering Catalyst Conference @ Waterloo


Are you a grade 11 girl who is curious about engineering? Want to see what university is like? Come to the University of Waterloo for an overnight girls conference in May!


The conference is an exciting opportunity for grade 11 girls to participate in hands-on workshops, explore the University of Waterloo, meet engineering students, compete in a design competition, and experience life in residence! 
This year's conference was held April 28th to 30th, 2017. Spots are limited to 50 female students, so make sure you get your application in early for 2017!

The Catalyst Summer Program is a 2 week program that offers a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the “traditional leadership program”. Drawing from the University of Waterloo’s strengths in engineering, science and innovation, high school students develop leadership skills within a community and problem-based context - with real opportunities to put new skills to practice!

Below you'll find the general session schedule for summer 2017:
  • Session I - first two weeks in July 2017
  • Session II -  second two weeks in July 2017
  • Session III - first two weeks in August 2017***
  • Session IV - second two weeks in August 2017 
*** - No camp on Civic Holiday Monday

Waterloo Unlimited 5-day program for Grade 10 students


Grade 10 Program | Theme of “Change” 
May 14 - 18, 2017 | 5-day program

We live in the midst of change: technological change, social change, political change, environmental change. In modern times humankind has experienced an unprecedented rapidity of change. How do we adapt, or not adapt... and what are the consequences? Students will consider the perspectives of scientists, engineers, writers, and philosophers, as they examine the dynamics of “Change”.

Program fee: $550 (includes meals; HST)
Supervised residence accommodation fee: $180


Our ideal candidates are:
  • well-rounded academic achievers: literate, articulate, numerate, and collaborative
  • engaged with and contribute positively to family, community, and public good; and
  • curious about an array of subjects, creative, positive, responsible, and enthusiastic self-starters!
