High School Design Competition Winners!

4 of our Ridge students, Claire & Paige Phillips, Abdullah Mir and Shannon Fenwick, won an engineering competition held at the University of Toronto over the weekend.

Their challenge was to build a prototype device to lift weight up a side of a mountain.  Their pulley system used water as a counter weight, and while all the other teams used some sort of motor, theirs was the most eco-friendly and easy to assemble!  I think I can safely say this goes to show how our Ridge culture is rubbing off on our students!!
